The Chesapeake Chapter Delicados, Incorporated was the sixth chapter to be incorporated in November 1970. Throughout the years, the Chesapeake chapter has prided itself in giving back to the community and continues to support the Sickle Cell Anemia Association, the American Cancer Association Breast Cancer Awareness Program, provides backpacks and school supplies for students, provides Thanksgiving food baskets containing meals for the entire weekend for some Chesapeake families and delivers Christmas presents consisting of warm winter apparel for some children through the Chesapeake’s Department of Social Services. The organization continues to grow, is steadfast and serenely dedicated to the motto of “striving not to equal, but to excel.”
